Everyone wants to tell you what’s cool. This is the room where we stop taking their word for it.

What this is

We’re 2twelve — a studio that makes physical things with a little of the digital sewn in. Garments that hold a voice or a memory. Objects that do something when you tap them. Dinners with no phones on the table.

It runs in three parts. The studio is the creative arm: clothing, campaigns, film, the occasional exhibition — work made to be touched, worn, argued over. 2twelve OS is the platform underneath it: the layer that lets an ordinary object carry a living, changing story, so a jacket can be a chapter and a chair can be a guestbook. And the table — our supper club — is where the two get tested on people, in a room, at full volume.

Room 212 is the diary of building all of it, written in real time.

Why

We’ve been handed a culture that mistakes attention for curiosity and exposure for taste. Endless information at our fingertips, more uninformed than ever. Galleries as backdrops. Feeds full of places we’ll never go.

We think the answer isn’t less technology. It’s technology with more friction — objects that ask something of you, formats that slow you down enough to actually be there. Creating is messy and inherently inconvenient. That’s the point. The goal was never to make things smoother; it was to make them worth talking about again.

What you’ll get

One promise: every post either shows you something real from inside the studio, or you leave with something you can use. Usually both.
